About the Role

We're looking for a thoughtful and design-minded Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team in Sausalito. You'll be an integral part of the in-store experience — welcoming guests, sharing the stories behind our pieces, and helping clients create homes filled with meaning and beauty.

This role is ideal for someone who loves interiors, styling, and connecting with people. You'll support daily shop operations, assist with merchandising, and help foster the warm, inspiring environment The Marin Merchant is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, engaging experience to all guests — sharing product stories and assisting with styling or gift selections.
• Support day-to-day operations, including opening / closing duties, restocking, and maintaining visual presentation.
• Process sales transactions efficiently through Shopify POS.
• Maintain product and brand knowledge to support storytelling and sales.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory organization, and online order fulfillment as needed.
• Contribute ideas for in-store events, visual displays, and community partnerships.
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations and an inspiring client experience.
