Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room - $2,630 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Profession : Nursing Specialty : Operating Room (OR) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Weekend Night Position Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Minimum two (2) years current experience in a large operating room. Must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Must have charge experience. License : State Nursing License (New Mexico or Compact State) Certifications : BLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred. Must-Have : Candidate must be able to scrub. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Description : Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient / family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Floating between departments and / or local locations within 20 miles is required. Ortho, EENT, and / or vascular experience is a plus. Epic experience preferred, but not required; can train on-site.
