Job Summary

  • The Histologist performs all technical procedures within the laboratory and provides technical expertise for one specialized area. This position requires expertise in the technical procedures used to prepare specimens for histopathological examination and in the quality and regulatory standards governing the laboratory. It also requires the exercise of independent judgement and responsibility. The technologist works under the supervision of the technical specialist or supervisory staff.

  • BS degree
  • NY Lab License
  • Prior laboratory experience, including histology
