_Advance Diagnostic Technician Needed_
Established Whatcom county auto shop seeks an experienced 'A' level technician or master technician.
At Axton Automotive we are committed to repairing customer vehicles honestly, quickly, accurately, and on time.
We have a large selection of shop and specialty tools. If we need a tool we will get that tool to complete the job. Diagnostic tools include Snap-on Zues with subscription, Apollo D-9, Autel Maxysis, and a Picoscope with pulse sensors and probes. (Always open to more suggestions for tools and diagnostic equipment)
Tekemetric is our point of sale system that includes ‘Digital vehicle inspections’ to streamline the process of selling and reporting to the front of house to keep customers' vehicles moving through the shop and have the technician ready for the next job.

Accurately Completing Services and Repairs on Customer’s Vehicles : Technicians are expected to be experts in their craft and are expected to complete services and repairs with excellence, integrity, precision, and extreme care.
Partner with Office Staff to Deliver on Company Sales Goals with Integrity : Technicians are expected to inspect each vehicle and quote any needed repairs and services to each customer. At times, technicians will be asked to work directly with customers to explain the condition of the vehicle and answer questions the customer may have about their needed services or repairs
Advanced knowledge of passenger automobile workings and systems.
Advanced knowledge, ability and skill in performing mechanical repairs and services on passenger automobiles including removing and reinstalling of parts, and doing service procedures.
Knowledge and skill of how to perform a thorough inspection on a passenger automobile for the purpose of finding service and repairs needed based on the miles and condition of the vehicle.
Ability to clearly communicate with others verbally and in various written forms. Ability to communicate in written form both with hand-written communication and typed communication.
Ability and knowledge of how to use a computer and diagnostic tools to diagnose vehicles, look up repair instructions, and access Customer Management Software.
Valid drivers license and clean record.
Verifiable experience
Must be proficient in automotive repair and service including drivability, electrical, braking and HVAC systems.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment, & complete job related computer-based vehicle data / service reporting.
Must maintain a clean and safe work area.
Must be able to repair and maintain vehicles in a timely and efficient manner.
5 years of dealership or relative automotive shop experience required.
