Our client is a family-owned lumber re-manufacturing business. Our client is proud to be known as one of the world's largest producers of the highest quality, clear Douglas Fir and Hemlock. They also produce Western Red Cedar and Alaskan Yellow finished lumber for a variety of internal and external applications.

Summary

The ideal candidate will be a reliable, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in both an office setting and a lumber yard. This is a hands-on role that requires a mix of administrative tasks and forklift operation.

Duties

• Shipping & Documentation : Prepare and print Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other shipping documents. You'll verify orders, maintain accurate records of all outbound shipments, and enter shipment details into our systems.
• Forklift Operation : Operate a forklift to safely stage and load finished lumber products for shipments. This includes ensuring products are placed correctly and that all loads meet safety requirements and customer specifications.
• Quality & Safety : Conduct visual inspections of inbound and outbound loads for damage and count accuracy. You'll also be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and monitoring for unsafe conditions.
• Communication : Communicate with truck drivers and yard staff to ensure a smooth and timely loading process. You'll report any issues with loads, products, or documentation to the Shipping Lead or Supervisor.

Qualifications

Shift Monday - Friday 7am-3 : 30pm Not public transit accessible

Pay Up to $23 / hr Depending on Experience
