Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification and strong Siemens and PACS skills for a night shift assignment.

Job Details

  • Work in an acute care MRI department with adult ICU, outpatient, and ED trauma patient populations,
  • Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, MRCP, chest, brain, cranial nerves, spine, lower and upper extremity long bones, and more,
  • Schedule is Friday through Sunday, 3x12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM,
  • Use Siemens MRI equipment and PACS imaging systems,
  • EMR : EPIC experience is required,
  • All travelers may float to any campus within the health system as needed,

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience required,
  • ARMRIT or ARRT MR certification required,
  • BLS certification required,
  • Previous charge experience required,
  • Demonstrated experience with isolation precautions, prep and administration of contrast media, and starting peripheral IVs,
  • Proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment and PACS required,
  • Experience with MIP, gradient echo, spin echo, surface coils, T1 / T2 images required,
  • Must have experience operating in acute care, ICU, emergency, and trauma environments,
  • EPIC EMR experience is required,
  • License required if applicable,
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted,

    • Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include performing a wide range of MRI studies and supporting trauma, critical care, and outpatient imaging needs,
  • Mandatory compliance modules and orientation required, typically 2-4 hours to complete,
  • Must adhere to strict punctuality and attendance policies,
  • RTO (request for time off) must be submitted with application; additional RTO requests will not be accepted,
  • Facility does not accept candidates with education from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Education Audit list,
  • First time travelers are accepted if they meet minimum experience requirements,
  • Scrub or dress code requirements may apply per department policy,
