Retail Product Manager

Job Description

This is a Product Manager / Sales Operations Manager for an international food company.

Reporting to the VP of Retail Sales, this person will primarily support the sales team in analyzing inventory data while collaborating with Supply Chain and demand planning to ensure proper order fulfillment, avoiding product shortages while maintaining high levels of customer service. Additionally, this person will utilize syndicated data to research industry trends, consumption data to identify insights that will translate into business initiatives and sales opportunities.

We are backfilling this role as the person we placed in this role has been promoted 2x time in 3 years and is now a VP of Sales. This client is a multi-billion-dollar food manufacturer with tremendous upward mobility opportunities. This hire will join the Retail Sales team at their Chicagoland HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or distribution is a plus
• 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Customer Support, or a related role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Excel and reporting proficiency; ERP or CRM experience preferred
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on accuracy, follow-through, and teamwork
