Accounting Manager

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance, Watts Applied Solutions, the Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing financial controls across multiple manufacturing sites supporting a $400+ million business. This role partners with site Controllers and accounting teams to ensure compliance with internal controls, accurate cost accounting, and alignment with corporate accounting policies. The position requires strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and drive improvements in financial processes and controls. The Accounting Manager will coordinate with the Corporate Controllership team and Internal Audit to drive SOX compliance and policy adherence.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee the execution of financial controls across Watts Applied Solutions sites, ensuring compliance with SOX, GAAP, and Watts policies.
- Partner with Management to identify areas of opportunity for efficiency and / or improvement and propose changes to SOX control to Internal Audit.
- Collaborate with Controllers and accounting teams to maintain accurate standard costs and cost accounting records.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial control processes and procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support Corporate Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and Tax departments with information and documentation requests.
- Review high risk MJE, BSAR, and internal control activities prepared by site Controller.
- Support integration progress, proactively address challenges, and report status to senior leadership.
- Lead and coordinate post-acquisition integration activities, ensuring seamless alignment of accounting processes, systems, and controls across newly acquired sites.
- Serve as the primary finance contact for integration projects, facilitating communication between local site teams and corporate leadership.
- Harmonize accounting policies, procedures, and reporting standards across all regional entities to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Oversee onboarding and training of finance teams at acquired sites, supporting change management and adoption of best practices.
- Identify and drive realization of operational synergies and process improvements resulting from integration.
- Stay informed on legal, tax, and regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to Corporate.
- Collaborate with local teams during system implementations to ensure internal control requirements and considerations are executed and documented in line with internal control requirements.
Required Qualifications :
BS / BA in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial systems.Experience with SOX compliance and internal audit coordination.10+ years of progressive experience in finance / accounting leadership in a manufacturing environment.Experience with system integration experience.Proven ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and corporate leadership.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, Glovia, QAD preferred).Experience with Hyperion is preferred.Travel : 10% requiredGeneral Applicable Company Competencies :

While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Worth, TX location (Monday - Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
