Job Title : Cybersecurity Lead w / PM

Location : Wilmington, DE (4 days on-site)

Duration : 6-18mth+

Rate : $54 / hr

Visa : USC

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Lead with a strong background in project management to oversee and deliver complex security initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in implementing cybersecurity projects, hands-on expertise in key security domains, and the ability to effectively communicate technical and strategic goals across diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of cybersecurity projects across moderate to complex environments.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and risks, ensuring successful delivery of security initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, engineering, compliance, and business stakeholders to align cybersecurity solutions with organizational goals.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in at least 12 core cybersecurity domains (e.g., Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Application Security, Vulnerability Management).
  • Oversee project teams, delegate responsibilities, and ensure high-quality execution of tasks.
  • Identify security gaps, propose solutions, and manage remediation projects.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current on emerging security threats, technologies, and industry best practices to inform project planning and execution.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience implementing and managing cybersecurity projects in moderate to complex environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in 12 cybersecurity domains, with broad understanding across others.
  • Project management experience, including leading teams and coordinating across departments.
  • Strong understanding of frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in fluent English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP, PRINCE2, or cloud security certifications) preferred.

    • Preferred Experience

  • Leading teams of 510 members or more in cybersecurity project delivery.
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) functions.
  • Background in both technical implementation and strategic security planning.
