Certified Nutritionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert nutritional guidance and develop personalized care plans. This role requires a strong foundation in dietetics, physiology, and patient assessment to promote health, manage weight loss programs, and optimize nutritional outcomes. The Nutritionist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive nutrition care tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify dietary needs.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for diverse patient populations, including geriatrics and acute care patients.
• Provide health coaching to support lifestyle modifications related to weight loss, chronic disease management, and overall wellness.
• Oversee meal planning in accordance with medical orders and dietary guidelines.
• Utilize EMR systems efficiently to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions as necessary to meet health goals.
• Educate patients on nutrition principles, dietary restrictions, and healthy eating habits.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards related to nutrition services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; registered dietitian certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, dietetics principles, and clinical nutrition practices.
• Experience with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
• Supervising experience is highly desirable for team leadership responsibilities.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques related to nutrition assessment.
• Knowledge of weight loss programs, geriatrics, acute care nutrition management, and patient assessment methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for effective health coaching and patient education.
