Responsibilities Work in a 22-bed Emergency Department at a critical access hospital Combined adult and pediatric patient population with approximately 65 visits per day Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (17 : 45-06 : 15) Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4 on all shifts Every other weekend required May be required to float within the hospital or to affiliated locations as needed Cerner charting experience required Primary responsibilities include rapid triage, comprehensive emergency assessment, and priority intervention for adult and pediatric patients Must wear any solid color scrubs Parking permit provided at no cost Auto-approval for up to 5 days of non-holiday time off; requests exceeding this amount require approval Candidates are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays Locals are accepted with no radius restrictions First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment Background check approval required prior to offer Online modules must be completed virtually on the first day Requirements Active IL RN license required at time of application Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA or Red Cross only) TNCC preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmia interpretation and management Proficient in IV therapy, central line care, and blood product administration Demonstrated skills in continuous IV sedation, emergency medication administration, and IV vasopressors Experience with pediatric emergencies such as abdominal pain, asthma, infections, and behavioral health Competence in psychiatric emergencies, including acute psychosis and drug overdose Ability to care for ventilated patients and manage chest tubes Community hospital experience required Cerner charting system experience required SSN and DOB required for consideration Must not have been a permanent or PRN employee of Memorial in the past 12 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627408.
