The Precast Fabricator plays a key role in the manufacturing of precast concrete dock modules. This position is responsible for material handling, setting up and preparing concrete forms, installing reinforcement materials, pouring and casting concrete, operating equipment, and performing various fabrication tasks. The role is based in a plant environment and supports the production of high-quality floating dock components.
Pour concrete into prepared forms to the required depth and finish.
Install materials such as polystyrene foam, wire mesh, rebar, PVC pipe, and other structural components within the form.
Use vibrators to eliminate air pockets and ensure proper consolidation of concrete.
Assist with surface patching, hole filling, and edge finishing using hand tools (trowels, scrapers, etc.).
Cut control joints and apply joint sealants as needed.
Operate machines to cut wood, fiberglass, UHMW, and polymer materials.
Perform boring, slotting, grooving, and sanding of dock components.
Assemble dock modules by installing structural components including timber beams, hardware, cleats, fenders, and steel frames.
Operate forklifts and other equipment to safely move and position forms, billets, floats, and other materials.
Prepare materials for shipping and assist with loading operations.
Follow shop drawings and adhere to all company quality standards and procedures.
Apply workplace safety practices and participate in training related to safety and equipment usage.
Previous experience in precast concrete, general construction, or manufacturing is preferred
Ability to read and follow shop drawings and measurements
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment
Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes precisely
Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in a production environment
Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
