Speech Language Pathologist – Elementary Pre-K- 5th

Location : Columbia, MD On-Site

Grade Level : Pre-K - 5th

Start Date : FMLA Coverage Mid-November - Mid-February / 8 : 35AM-4 : 10PM / Duty Free Lunch

Salary Range : $59,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)

AnthroMed Education is seeking an SLP for an FMLA leave in a collaborative, student-focused district in Columbia, MD. What You’ll Do :

  • Provide therapy and intervention services to students
  • Address expressive / receptive language and pragmatic skills
  • Support students with behavior management needs as related to communication
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

Caseload Details :

Partner with a part-time SLP (3 days per week) to cover a caseload of 49 students

Caseload will be blended, after splitting with part-time SLP total caseload number estimated at 30-35 students

No Pre-K classroom on-site

1 life skills classroom

Very supportive and involved administration in the building available to support

  • This school Utilizes a weighted caseload model to help adjust caseloads and account for students who may require more attention with service minutes and meetings.

    • Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (MSLP)
  • MD Department of Health SLP License
  • Experience with elementary and middle school populations strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and cultural competence
