Job description

We areseeking an experienced Locums Radiation Oncology Physician to provide coverageat a community-based outpatient facility in Fitchburg, MA. The ideal candidatewill be ABR Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and proficient in deliveringadvanced radiation therapies, including SBRT, IMRT, and 3D treatment planning.This role involves managing a steady outpatient caseload and collaborating witha multidisciplinary care team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Compensation : $275-$350 / hour

PositionDetails :

  • Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Setting : Outpatient only
  • Patient Volume : Approximately 20-25 patients on treatment per day
  • Procedures : SBRT, IMRT, and 3D radiation therapy
  • Brachytherapy : Not required
  • Length of Assignment : 6 months, with the possibility to extend

KeyResponsibilities :

  • Evaluate and manage radiation oncology patients in an outpatient setting .
  • Plan, implement, and oversee SBRT, IMRT, and 3D radiation treatments .
  • Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists to optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in treatment planning and chart reviews.
  • Provide ongoing patient monitoring, follow-ups, and documentation in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Coordinate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive cancer care.

    • Requirements :

  • Certification : Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Radiation Oncology
  • Licensure : Active or eligible Massachusetts medical license
  • DEA : Active DEA registration required
  • Experience : Prior experience in a community or hospital-based outpatient radiation oncology setting preferred
