General job duties. Types of procedures required. Respiratory care for patients on medical floors, adult critical care and the emergency room, consisting of

• breathing treatments
• secretion mobilization
• non-invasive and invasive ventilation
• cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• intubation assistance
• drawing and analyzing blood gases
• obtaining EKGs 2. Equipment utilized in the unit / dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
• Ventilators – Avea, Puritan Bennett 840, 3100 B HFOV, VentiPac transport ventilator
• Non-invasive ventilators – V60 and Vision
• IPV
• Capnostream 20 ETCO2
• OmniCell medication dispenser
• EPIC EMR 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Required skills as listed in 1 Minimum of 1 year experience 4. Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) RRT, OR state licensure, BLS 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) 12 hour shifts; will be posted as either days or nights in the request. 6. Floating to other units / departments. (If so, to which units / departments?) Will work for Respiratory Therapy throughout the hospital. Can also be asked to float to Ashland as needed. 7. Bed size / number of rooms / daily specimen / procedure count for this unit / dept. 12-14 treatments per 4 hour round or 4-5 ventilators. 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
