For highly regulated businesses in healthcare, its always been a challenge to harness that customer data and get it to the marketing and analytics tools that require it while following patient privacy laws .until now.
Something as simple as running ads to get more users is simple for an e-commerce of software company to do. But common web analytics and advertising tools collect sensitive user identifiers and healthcare information automatically. Those same tools are not HIPAA compliant.
We provide a layer of data governance to make current web analytics tools HIPAA-compliant. For analytics, our customers can continue getting the insights they need to improve the patient experience. For marketing, Freshpaint safeguards health information while helping our customers promote access to care through popular advertising platforms like Facebook, Google, and others.
In short, we help healthcare marketers promote access to care and safeguard patient privacy at the same time. This is an important, complex problem in a massive market (healthcare is 20% of the US GDP).

Were fully remote. If you strongly value in-person work, Freshpaint is likely not the best fit for you. Even though we dont care where youre located, we only hire within the US. Many of our team is concentrated in various metro areas like SF or NYC. To balance out our remote-ness, we gather the team 2x times per year for offsites. Freshpaint was founded by web analytics veterans who realized how hard it was for highly regulated companies to collect and use customer data in a compliant way. We started as part of Y Combinators S19 cohort and have been focused on enabling healthcare companies collect, safeguard, and activate patient data since.
In 2022 the government issued updated guidance around HIPAA, basically making our software a requirement to use for healthcare companies. As a result, we're one of the fastest growing software companies on earth right now.

Freshpaint is building the future of healthcare performance platform - turning first-party data into clear, actionable marketing intelligence. Youll lead the product strategy, execution, and customer feedback loop for one of the most important initiatives in our roadmap : helping healthcare marketers understand whats actually driving conversions. Youll partner closely with engineering, data, design, and GTM teams to define how attribution, analytics, and insight delivery work inside Freshpaint. This role sits at the intersection of data, design, and decision-making, making it one of the most visible and impactful positions on the product team. In this role you will
Shape a Flagship Product- Youll define and build one of Freshpaints most strategic products, the foundation for how every customer will understand their marketing performance. Your work will directly impact how healthcare organizations make decisions every day.
Work Across the Stack- From modeling first-party data to crafting AI-powered Insights, youll touch every layer; data, UI, and intelligence. This role gives you end-to-end ownership across technical and customer-facing systems.
Have High Visibility and Real Autonomy- Youll work directly with leadership, data, and our go-to-market teams. Youll have the autonomy to shape roadmap direction and the visibility that comes with leading a key company initiative.
Requirements - What Youll Bring
Youre an experienced product manager (typically 4+ years) who has built or worked deeply on data, analytics, or attribution products.
You care as much about the why as the what, you want to understand the customer problem before the feature.
You love shipping MVPs and iterating fast. You believe small experiments drive big learnings.
Youre fluent enough in data concepts to talk comfortably about events, pipelines, and attribution models, even if youre not a data engineer.
You thrive on cross-functional collaboration, working closely with engineering, design, and GTM teams to bring clarity from ambiguity.
Youre excited by the idea of building something new from zero to one, shaping not just features, but how the product and team evolve.
Why you shouldn't apply :
You Prefer Fully Defined Roadmaps- This isnt a feature factory role , its about defining what should exist, not executing a pre-written plan. If you need complete clarity before starting, this might feel uncomfortable.
You Dont Like Ambiguity or Change- You'll be working on a new product. Customer feedback will reshape our direction, and youll need to adjust quickly. If you prefer a steady, predictable product line, this might not be the right fit.
