Position Summary\n\nThis position provides integrated neurological, neurosurgical, and trauma critical care nursing using the full nursing process. The RN applies advanced clinical judgment and a broad nursing knowledge base to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n(25%) – Comprehensive Patient Assessment\n\nConducts thorough assessments addressing physical, emotional, psychological, social, and family support needs.\n\nIdentifies subtle changes in condition in complex neuro and trauma patients.\n\n(25%) – Care Coordination & Prioritization\n\nOrganizes, coordinates, and prioritizes all aspects of patient care.\n\nEnsures care plans address both real and perceived patient needs.\n\n(25%) – Ongoing Evaluation & Clinical Judgment\n\nContinuously evaluates patient progress using clinical data, nursing knowledge, and critical thinking.\n\nDetermines whether goals are being met based on the patient's care plan or clinical pathway and modifies plans accordingly.\n\n(25%) – Collaboration & Interdisciplinary Communication\n\nCollaborates and consults with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to plan and implement comprehensive patient care.\n\nEnsures seamless communication across care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
