Responsibilities Position is based in the Emergency Department of a large hospital Level II trauma center with an annual ER volume exceeding 90,000 patients Work schedule consists of four 12-hour night shifts per week (1900-0730) Weekend shifts required based on department needs No floating required during assignment No on-call responsibilities Uses EPIC for documentation, with approximately 8 hours of EPIC training provided during orientation Responsible for providing emergency nursing care in a busy Level II trauma center First-time travelers with minimum required experience are welcome Pre-employment modules and orientation training must be completed prior to start, with hours recorded via certificates or transcripts Holiday time off requests for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's will not be approved Time off requests must be submitted and approved in advance and limited to a maximum of 5 days Local candidates are accepted and paid the local rate if residing within 50 miles Scrub or dress code details are not specified Requirements Active CA RN license in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2.5 years of recent experience in a large, high-volume Level II trauma center emergency department Experience in emergency departments with over 90,000 annual visits required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS At least 2 years of total experience and previous travel or contract experience required One reference from the past 2 years required No previous permanent employment at this facility allowed No negative marks on Nursys Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620763.
