Responsibilities Position is in the Med / Surg unit of an acute care hospital Shift schedule is 12-hour nights Unit is located on the 2nd floor with 24 beds and an average daily census of 14 patients Patient population includes oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, psych / detox, ENT, and general medical cases Team care model with specific nurse to patient ratios Care provided in a Level 2 trauma center environment EpicCare Inpatient EMR is used and experience with Epic is required Must pass an open book, pass / fail exam on orientation Friday covering learned skills, with a minimum score of 90% required Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments Holiday coverage may be required according to department policy Blocked scheduling approval is restricted to weekends only upon request Duo candidates requesting the same schedule or to share a car will not be considered Requirements Active NE or compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience required Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required Must submit a copy of a valid driver's license to confirm permanent address Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver’s license Candidates may not be currently or recently (within the last year) employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility Two professional references required : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623765.
