Join Meliora Academy, a private, special education day school serving students ages 3-22 with autism spectrum and related disorders. Utilizing evidence-based interventions, including applied behavior analysis, we provide individualized instruction and one-on-one support to help students reach their maximum potential. Your Role as a Special Education Teacher

  • IEP Development & Management - Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with special needs, ensuring their academic and developmental success.
  • Student Progress Monitoring - Track and assess student growth, making data-driven adjustments to keep them on a successful learning path.
  • Behavioral Support - Manage challenging behaviors by implementing effective behavior support plans that foster positive student outcomes.
  • Collaborative Teamwork - Work closely with RBTs, support staff, and parents to build an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Student Advocacy - Ensure compliance with educational laws while advocating for the rights and needs of students with disabilities.
  • Engaging Learning Environment - Foster a positive, inclusive classroom where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in special education, education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passion for Special Education, demonstrated by patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students with special needs succeed.
