Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location : Anchorage, AK
Work schedule : Monday – Friday 8-hour shift
Payment : $65 per hour
Department : Rehabilitation
Reports to : Director of Rehabilitation
🌟 Role Overview
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you'll evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders, collaborate with healthcare teams, and guide families through care plans. You'll also mentor clinical fellows and contribute to staff training.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients within 24 hours of referral and document delays if needed
- Create and implement treatment plans with physician approval
- Deliver therapy aligned with medical directives
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants in direct patient care and patient related activities, following state practice act.
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment updates
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings
- Educate caregivers and staff on therapy techniques and discharge prep
- Ensure compliance with state practice acts and facility policies
