Travel RN Job Details Location : Winfield, Kansas 67156 Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Start Date : December 8, 2025 End Date : March 9, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Coverage : Every third weekend required Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,880 - $2,020 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (charge nurse experience preferred) Active Kansas or compact state RN license (no pending licenses) Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP Prior travel nursing experience required Experience with Centricity charting system preferred Community or critical access hospital experience preferred COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions) Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns, including high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care Assist with sterile speculum exams, non-stress tests (NSTs), reflex checks, and sterile vaginal exams Utilize external and internal fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and pain management techniques Manage labor & delivery cases, including forceps / vacuum deliveries, neonatal care, and surgical procedures (e.g., cervical cerclage) Support breastfeeding, lactation, and provide discharge education to parents; ensure infant identification and security Respond to obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage, neonatal resuscitation, and abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and make a difference as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Winfield, Kansas!
