Job Details :

• Hospital coverage due to vacancy created by shared call adjustment
• Adult Medicine focus
• Manage 15-25 patients per day
• Provide clinical consults for inpatient service
• MUST be able to perform Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) - this is a required skill
• Preferred skills include upper and lower GI endoscopy with various procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices
• Experience with ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred
• Experience with PEG, esophageal dilatation / manometry, small bowel biopsy preferred
• Experience with sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid) and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision preferred
• Experience with liver biopsy and Sengstaken / Blakemore tube insertion / management preferred
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in GI
• Active North Carolina medical license required (no IMLC)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days
