San Pasqual Academy is located on a beautiful 238 acres in rural San Pasqual Valley. SPA is equipped with all the amenities of a private high school, including classrooms, an auditorium, gym, and cafeteria. On grounds sports and activities include basketball, softball, and football. Our unique campus features residential staff and house parents serving as surrogate parents who mentor and tutor students, teach age-appropriate independent living skills, create opportunities to explore new interests, encourage participation in sports and recreation, assist in the exploration of career and job opportunities, and promote family living skills. Pay : starting at $68,640 annually. What you will do : The Shift Supervisor is a key member of the Site Management Team responsible for the daily oversight of Group Living operations, staff supervision, and student safety. This position provides leadership, structure, and direction to ensure that all residential programming aligns with Rite of Passage (ROP) policies, Title 22 regulations, and licensing standards. The Shift Supervisor monitors daily schedules, staffing ratios, and site safety; coaches and develops team members; facilitates meetings, fire drills, and incident reporting; and ensures accurate documentation and compliance across departments. They oversee staff performance, manage scheduling and resources, and support crisis intervention efforts while modeling professionalism, accountability, and ROP's core values. Acting as a mentor to both staff and students, the Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining a positive, structured, and safe living environment for all program participants. To be considered you should : A bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in juvenile treatment, corrections, or residential care, including one year in a supervisory role. Applicants must meet all state licensing and ROP requirements, possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean three-year driving record, and successfully pass a background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential, along with flexibility to work weekends, overnights, and on-call as needed. Be at least 21 years of age. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test. Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
