Under direction, this position provides assistance related to planning and executing the College’s strategic marketing efforts through visual and digital media to maximize the promotion and awareness of Chaffey College. Responsibilities Duties may include but are not limited to the following : Develop and implement social media content and strategies that align with the district's brand and communication goals. Plan, develop and produce print and digital material, including flyers, brochures, newsletters, and other graphic materials to publicize and market college programs. Write and edit print and digital materials; coordinate distribution of print / graphic materials. Produce and publish engaging visual content tailored for various platforms (social media, district portal, digital platforms and other technology as needed) Edit and optimize photos and videos for use on social media and other digital platforms. Maintain the content calendar and schedule for college’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X / Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and other similar technology). Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on engagement metrics to evaluate digital campaign and content effectiveness. Assist with planning and coordination of professional photo and video shoots designated for digital distribution. Support email marketing campaigns and digital outreach efforts to promote registration periods, college programs, and events. Collaborate with campus departments and student organizations to develop content, cross-promote events, and ensure adherence to college branding standards. Establish relationships with students to capture authentic student perspectives and experiences for use across digital channels. Support the execution and dissemination of automated digital marketing email campaigns. Attend meetings on behalf of Director / Department as needed. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in digital media, communication, public relations, marketing, or a closely related field. Two years’ experience working in a marketing office at a college or university. Demonstrated evidence and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment. Ability to demonstrate effective written / oral communication skills. Experience producing written content for a variety of digital mediums. Knowledge of basic computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office, Adobe Cloud). Experience producing content for social media (i.e. dynamic photos, videos). Experience creating and distributing targeted email campaigns. Familiarity with using photography and video equipment (including mobile devices). Experience working within content management systems (CMS) to update, curate and manage digital content. Knowledge of digital trends, current affairs and issues in higher education with the ability to understand issues from a broad, strategic perspective. Ability to represent the Strategic Communications Office at on-campus and off-campus events. Ability to lead student interns and short-term workers.
