Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, ARRT(MR) or AMRIT certification, and proficiency on Siemens equipment.
Responsibilities
Work in MRI department serving outpatient, inpatient, ER, adult ICU, and community hospital settingsUtilizes Philips 3T MRI machines; proficiency on Siemens required and GE preferredPerforms all routine MRI imaging, including MSK, neuro, body, perfusion, and prostate studiesHandles a broad patient population with varying caseloadsEvening shifts (4x10 hours), 3 : 00 PM–11 : 30 PM or 3 : 30 PM–12 : 00 AMParticipates in call rotation approximately one night per week from midnight to 5 AMWorks every other weekendFloat to other related facilities or shifts may be required infrequentlyExperience with Epic and McKesson documentation systems is requiredPosition requires periodic shift pick-ups at manager's requestNavy blue scrubs requiredAnnual and orientation modules are self-reported and non-billableReferences required for considerationProof of flu vaccination or approved exemption must be provided within 48 hours of signing contractReturn staff must have a 6 month separation before eligibilityLocals are accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictionsRequirements
Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experienceCurrent BLS certification (AHA)ARRT(MR) or AMRIT requiredProficiency with Siemens MRI scanners and experience with Philips and GE preferredAbility to perform IV starts, work with PACS, and administer contrastDemonstrated skills in abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion imaging (non-brain), gradient echo, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spin echo, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted imagesValid Michigan license required if applicableAccepts first-time travelersBenefits
