Pay Range : $20-25 per hour

Location : Portland, OR

Job Type : Full-Time | Union Represented

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM

Position Summary

A mission-driven outpatient clinic is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join its inclusive primary care team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in family practice or family care, and a commitment to LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming care.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner closely with providers to deliver high-quality, respectful patient care.
• Greet patients, complete intake protocols, and ensure they feel welcome and safe.
• Take vital signs, verify medications, and assist with clinical procedures (e.g., injections).
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and support provider workflow.
• Use Epic or similar EHR systems to document patient interactions.
• Support sexual health and gender-affirming care services.
• Apply trauma-informed principles in all patient and team interactions.
• Take initiative in your own professional development.
