The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer I – Quality Manufacturing to join our team at our facility located at 2000 Centerpoint Parkway, Pontiac, MI 48341. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing analysis duties requiring experience in selecting and applying standard engineering principles and techniques. The position involves working in a process team or production cell specializing in assemblies, structures, accessories, material engineering, production, or test engineering. The role also leads defect and scrap reduction projects and actively supports Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) programs.
This position is 100% onsite; no remote or hybrid option is available at this time.
More Specific Duties Include :
M-F 40 hrs. / wk. 8 : 00 am – 5 : 00 pm.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Quality or Aeronautical Engineering (U.S. or Foreign) or a related field.
1 year of experience using and implementing Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) programs.
2 years of experience performing Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) analyses.
2 years of experience in quality and manufacturing gearbox, housing, valve, and heatsink assemblies for the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
2 years of experience in manufacturing quality engineering with gas turbine engines for the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
