Hypopara Regional Sales Director
TSP is engaged in a direct recruiting partnership with Ascendis Pharma. Responsibilities
- Establish and inspect clear, rigorous business fundamentals, behaviors, and metrics; set high performance standards and meet or exceed sales goals across the business.
- Create immediate impact by hiring, leading, coaching, and motivating a high‑performance sales team.
- Adapt quickly to launch preparations, supporting both corporate and field‑based colleagues to navigate a dynamic market and achieve / exceed expected results in a complex specialty environment.
- Coach ECSs in line with Ascendis Pharma’s sales model to drive sustained improvement in core sales competencies, including clinical, product, business acumen, and reimbursement skillsets. Participate in sales field rides, face‑to‑face customer meetings, target planning, territory alignment, and develop employees based on observed knowledge, skill, and behavior opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of the National Sales plan that aligns with organizational goals, leveraging analysis of economic, industry, marketing, and sales data.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all territory and regional level administrative tasks, including expense reporting, program funding requests, and management communications.
Requirements
BA / BS degree required.Minimum 12 years of life‑sciences sales and commercial experience.Minimum 3 years of direct people leadership experience in rare disease / specialty biopharma preferred.Broad commercial breadth of work experience, potentially including Sales, Marketing, Training, Market Access, etc.Entrepreneurial attitude and / or experience in a start‑up environment.Experience with product launch and selling into the endocrinology market, rare disease and / or specialty sales.Strong understanding and experience in pull‑through of regional health systems and teaching institutions.Demonstrated track record of success (Top 20% performance).Ability to develop and execute innovative, comprehensive, and successful sales strategies.Expert at navigating complex accounts and pulling through sales by leveraging relationships at all levels.Collaborative leader, organizationally savvy team player with a history of leading, influencing, and motivating high‑performance teams in direct‑line and matrix settings.Experience working with products distributed via specialty pharmacies and supported by patient services / hubs required.Polished executive presence and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).Comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing effectively, and making timely, insightful decisions.Autonomous, self‑starter thriving in a fast‑paced, dynamic culture with high energy, drive for results and passion for winning.Champions continuous learning and accountability for broad business goals.Commitment to compliance and championing compliance by others.Working knowledge of applicable federal and state compliance guidelines and regulations.Skilled in multiple computer applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM, field‑based tools).Ability to travel within the region on a frequent overnight basis (80% travel required).Valid driver’s license and good driving record.Must comply with vendor credentialing requirements within assigned geographies, including background checks, drug screening, immunizations, and training.Compensation
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $225,000 to $230,000.
