Job description

Alphanumeric is hiring a Construction Project Manager.

  • Marietta, PA (Onsite).
  • W2 Only.
  • Pharmaceutical Facilities.
  • Hourly Pay Range : $63.50 - $65.00

Join Alphanumeric, a trusted partner to the life sciences industry for over 20 years, as we support a global pharmaceutical client in the delivery of safe, effective, and innovative medical advancements. We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee pharmaceutical facility buildouts from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities :

Project Engineering :

  • Lead or contribute to concept, basic, and detailed engineering of pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing facilities.
  • Coordinate facility systems, clean utilities, process / automation equipment, cleanrooms, cold chains, and effluent systems.

    • Project Delivery :

  • Manage all phases of project delivery : bidding, vendor selection, construction phasing, facility fit-out, equipment installation, utility tie-ins, and startup through to IQ / OQ.

    • Project Management :

  • Own scope, schedule, and cost controls using best practices (CPM, resource-loaded schedules, critical path / risk analysis).
  • Execute change management, procurement, and quantity estimates across multi-functional teams.

    • Construction & Safety Management :

  • Develop and implement construction management plans in alignment with OSHA and global safety standards.
  • Lead trades mobilization, permitting, safety metrics, and incident-free site delivery.

    • Commissioning & Qualification :

  • Deliver Turnover Packages (TOPs) and oversee all commissioning and qualification : SAT, commissioning, IQ / OQ, validation strategy, and change controls.

    • Project Communication :

  • Maintain clear communication across stakeholders through tier meetings, safety reviews, steering committees, and town halls.

    • What You Bring :

  • 5+ years of project / engineering experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership on the design, construction, and startup of biopharmaceutical drug substance and fill / finish facilities.
  • Deep understanding of cGMP requirements, equipment qualification, and validation protocols.
  • Strong skills in ERP systems (SAP preferred), PowerApps, scheduling / reporting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional team leadership.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize decisions, and lead with a solution-oriented mindset.

    • Education & Certifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • PMP Certification preferred.
