The Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) is a coastal Georgia based organization serving ten counties and thirty-five cities with comprehensive planning and economic development services. Our Planning and Government Services Department is announcing a new job opening for a Regional Planning Manager. The position will manage assigned staff and work closely with local governments on advanced, highly complex professional planning and government services activities. The Regional Planning Manager will :
- Develop and implement local comprehensive plans
- Develop and implement regional plans
- Develop and implement Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)
- Work with federal and state partners to administer projects
- Provide staff support to local governments
- Liaison between CRC and external organizations
- Manage assigned staff and daily operations
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Urban, City, or Regional Planning, Public Administration, or a closely related field.Five years of relevant Planning experience with a Master's degree or AICP certification; or six years of relevant Planning experience with a Bachelor's degree.Interdisciplinary Knowledge of urban and regional planning and Georgia planning law.AICP certification preferredManagement or supervisory experience preferredProficient in interpreting federal and state regulations.Proficient in the use of computers and Office 365 software.Superior, demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
