Job descriptionObtain daily schedule and supplies needed for production Complete required paperwork in English promptly Perform safety check on equipment being used to ensure it is functioning properly Maintain efficient operation of packing equipment Ensure cases of carton blanks and glue chips are staged (numbers, versions on labels) Fill carton magazine with stacks of carton blanks Verify carton codes to ensure accuracy Clear minor jams, reset and start equipment Fill glue dispensers and label printers Ensure good housekeeping (e.g., sweeping, mopping) Participate in PM, drumbeat, and AM activities as assigned (varying start times) Can read a work order and receive verbal instructions from supervisors / leads May perform general labor tasks as assigned Understand the effects of product damage and loss Knowledge of GMP's Be LOTO certified Work with pork, chicken, beef and shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens Be PIT certified, by area Submit work orders, by area Health : Medical, dental and vision insurance, company-paid life, accident and disability insurance Wealth : G reat pay, 401(k) / pension eligibility, financial wellness programs and stock purchase plan Growth : Career development opportunities, employee resource groups and team collaboration Balance : P aid-time off and volunteer opportunities
Shift : 3 : 45 PM-2 : 30 AM
Hourly Rate : $20.91 an hour
The Carton Machine Operator is responsible for the following : operating, managing efficient operation of the cartooning equipment, facilitating the packing of finished product promptly, completing all required paperwork, and observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met.
Starting pay up to $20.91 per hour + Attendance Bonus! ($0.50 for first shift and $0.60 for second shift)
You will be onsite at the facility located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. As a Carton Machine Operator, you will report to the operations team.

Education : High school diploma or GED.
Experience : Minimum 3 months production or related experience required.
