Overview

Join to apply for the Soninke Over the Phone Interpreter role at Global Impact Group LLC . We deliver secure, high-quality language solutions in 80+ spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies. This is a remote position supporting USCIS contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time Soninke — English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
  • Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and asylum contexts.
  • Maintain confidentiality under USCIS / DHS interpreter standards.
  • Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent / surge calls.
  • Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.

Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in Soninke and English.
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, NGO, community, or government strongly preferred).
  • Strong cultural knowledge of West African Soninke-speaking communities.
  • Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and impartiality standards.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 clearance.
