Engineering Manager - Data Engineering

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager - Data Engineering to lead a core team within its Data Platform organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of data engineers for scalable and secure data ingestion and pipeline management

Drive technical excellence in data workflows using tools like Airflow, Kafka, and Spark

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roadmaps for data quality and pipeline automation

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience leading engineering teams

Proven track record in data engineering, particularly with ingestion and pipeline orchestration systems

Experience with Airflow, Spark, Kafka, and modern lakehouse architectures

Ability to navigate complex distributed data systems and make informed trade-offs

Strong capability to build cross-functional relationships and communicate technical decisions effectively
