Cardiology Physician

Job Description : Reason for coverage : Open position with a need for coverage. Coverage schedule : minimum of 2 weeks per month. Must be available a full 7 days in a row. Weekly schedule : Monday 7 : 00 AM through Monday 7 : 00 AM, including night and weekend call Weekday hours : 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM. Weekend call : Starts Friday at 4 : 30 PM and ends Monday at 7 : 00 AM. Evening call : Starts at 4 : 30 PM and ends the following morning at 7 : 30 AM. The provider would be in house Monday- Friday 7 : 30am-4 : 30pm, take call Monday-Friday for the night shift and then take weekend call through Monday morning. Average inpatient admissions per physician per day : Approximately 10, depending on inpatient consults. Total number of beds : 256. Number of ICU beds : 20. Cardiologists in the group : 3 non-invasive cardiologists. Other cardiologists will be present during locum coverage. Locum physician will supervise residents and medical students. Patient age demographic : 18 years and older. Documentation system / EMR : Currently Flex and Merge Cardio. Required procedures : Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Electrocardiograms (EKGs), and stress echo. Schedule needed- The provider needs to be available for ALL shifts : April 14th starting at 7 : 30am through April 21st ending at 7 : 30am April 21st starting at 7 : 30am through April 28th ending at 7 : 30am June 16th starting at 7 : 30am through June 23rd ending at 7 : 30am Requirements : Board Certified in Cardiology - Required Active NY license - Required BLS, ACLS - Required Required to work 7 days per week- 2 times monthly
