Job Summary :
The Senior Trade Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of specific trade work on construction projects. They
ensure that trade activities are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Trade-Specific Oversight :
Supervise and manage all activities related to the specific trade (e.g., pipefitting, plumbing, sheet metal, electrical).Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to standards.2. Team Management :
Lead and coordinate the trade workforce.Provide guidance and support to trade superintendents to enhance performance and productivity.Conduct meetings to communicate project status and manpower scheduling.3. Scheduling and Coordination :
Develop and maintain schedules for trade-specific activities.Coordinate trade work with other trades and general construction activities.Ensure timely procurement and delivery of trade-specific materials and equipment.4. Budget and Cost Management :
Monitor trade-specific budgets and costs.Implement cost-saving measures and value engineering within the trade.Approve trade-related expenditures and track financial progress.5. Communication and Reporting :
Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, and other trade superintendents.Prepare and submit regular reports on trade-specific progress.Address and resolve any trade-related issues or conflicts that arise during construction.6. Safety Management :
Enforce safety policies and procedures.Address and mitigate safety hazards promptly.7. Problem Solving :
Identify and resolve trade-specific construction-related issues.Implement corrective actions to keep trade activities on track.Adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges within the trade.Qualifications :
5+ years of experience as a superintendent, with extensive experience in the specific trade.Strong knowledge of trade-specific methods, materials, and regulations.Proven ability to manage trade-specific work within larger construction projects.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
