Electrician

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team. This position will involve constructing, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining routine electrical systems and equipment. The individual will cut, bend, couple, and strap conduit, cut wire and conduit to length, install, repair, or replace switch boxes, light bulbs, plug sockets, light fuses, and extension cords. They will also disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair, troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspect circuits and wiring for shield and grounding, and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency. The Electrician will use blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications and electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring and recording devices. Work will include large power distribution units (PDU's), DC rectifiers, and installing raised flooring system installation and maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment such as switch boxes, plug sockets, light bulbs, extension cords, and light fuses.
• Cut, bend, couple, strap conduit; cut wire and conduit to length.
• Disassemble and prepare motors, generators, and other equipment for repair.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and test circuits for shielding, grounding, safety, and efficiency.
• Use blueprints, drawings, layouts, and schematics to guide installations and repairs.
• Operate electrical hand tools and voltage / amperage measuring and recording devices.
• Work with high-voltage equipment, large PDUs, DC rectifiers, and raised flooring systems.
• Lead small construction projects from start to finish, including material estimation and coordination.
• Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations and procedures.
