CNC Setup Machinist

A manufacturing company in Wheeling, IL is looking for an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join their team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts with precision and efficiency.

Requirements of the CNC Setup Machinist

5+ years of CNC milling setup experience
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
Experience with G-code programming and editing
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills

Responsibilities of the CNC Setup Machinist

Set up CNC milling machines, load programs, and verify first-piece quality

Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices

Inspect parts to ensure accuracy and make adjustments as needed

Maintain accurate setup documentation for repeat jobs

Perform routine machine maintenance and follow all safety procedures

1st and 2nd shift opportunities are available Monday through Friday, DIRECT HIRE

Pay ranges from $28 to $34 per hour based on experience.
