• Work under the direction of the Medical / Surgical Care Lead and / or on-duty Nursing Supervisor
• Administer nursing care to patients in an efficient, safe and courteous manner using proper nursing procedures
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current California nursing licensure in good standing required
• Current CPR certification required
• ACLS certification required within one year of hire date
• Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patient's immediate condition
• Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with healthcare team members
• Perform appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in accurate and timely manner
• Provide individualized patient / family education
• Document patient assessment findings and responses to nursing interventions
• Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to appropriate protocols
• Supervise LVNs and non-professional staff in delivery of care to assigned patients
• Maintain knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretation
• Care for outpatients requiring blood transfusions according to policy and procedures
• Adhere to dress code with neat and professional appearance
• Complete annual education requirements
• Wear identification while on duty
• Ability to lift 20 pounds and perform intermittent sitting, standing, bending, lifting, walking and moving
