Shift / Time Zone : : Alternating week schedule
A schedule : M-F 7am-2 : 30pm, Sat 6am-12pm
B schedule : M-F 6am-2 : 30pm
PayRange : $21 / hr on W2
Position Summary :
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of our organization, providing vital support to patients during routine visits and in moments requiring critical health insights. The PSR I is responsible for skillfully collecting quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards. This role requires a high level of patient interaction, demanding professionalism, compassion, and confidence in every step of the process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform daily operations accurately and efficiently under the guidance of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment at all times.
- Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.
- Accurately maintain all required documentation and records.
- Foster trust with patients by explaining procedures clearly and providing compassionate care.
- Uphold organizational values, demonstrating leadership behaviors and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, team members, and the public.
Requirements :
Education & Certification :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Medical training preferred (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic).Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.Experience :
Minimum 6 months of relevant experience required.1+ years of phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.Prior customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service setting is a plus.Must possess proficient keyboarding and data entry skills.Skills & Abilities :
Demonstrated ability to perform high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.Comfortable using a straight needle (non-butterfly).Flexible availability, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.Strong focus on confidentiality, accuracy, and patient-centered service.
