Senior Tool and Die Journeyman

Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Sr. Tool and Die Journeyman to join our team in Venice, FL. A successful candidate is one that understands how to read drawings, blueprints, or specifications and fabricate parts to required dimensions and tolerances. This position requires the skill to process raw materials into finished parts.

POSITION - Senior Tool and Die Journeyman - Manufacturing Plant

LOCATION - Venice, Florida

SIGN-ON BONUS - $5,000 - Relocation Bonus - $2,500 sign-on bonus

HOURLY RATE - $36.00 - $42.00 - Based on Experience

SHIFT - Day Shift - 6am to 2 : 30pm - M-F - Must work 1 Saturday every 7 weeks

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Designs a wide variety of tools, molds, dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges where only tentative design concepts are available from engineers. Visualizes completed items to ensure ease of operation and maintenance in manufacturing setting.

Performs development work and difficult tool room machine operations.

Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.

Constructs, alters and repairs tools, molds and dies to very close tolerances. Heat treats tools or parts.

Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances.

Performs skilled fitting, timing and adjusting.

Makes tool tryouts; diagnoses and corrects problems.
