Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 08 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - Med Surg Job Details : Work night shifts with every other weekend requirement Float to like units as needed Possible charge responsibilities when needed Option for 4x12 hour shifts available Must work at least 1 of the 3 holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day Patient ratio of 1 : 6 for adults and geriatric populations 30-bed unit with 30-minute lunch required - no skipped meals policy Skills required : IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care / wound vac management Experience with blood product administration, colostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin, insulin, PCA pumps, PICC line management, and surgical drains Level II trauma experience preferred Travel experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Minimum 1 year of experience required Alabama nursing license required Required certifications : Current BLS via AHA and fit test NIHSS certification preferred Must adhere to call-in policy and complete facility-specific modules during orientation Facility : This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on medical surgical care for adult and geriatric populations.
