Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Designer to join our team. This is a hybrid position, with three days in our Los Altos office and two days working from home. This is a formative role, where the ideal candidate is creative, technically strong, organized, and able to contribute meaningfully within a highly collaborative studio. Three years of design experience working in residential design.
The designer will work hand in hand with our senior designers and senior project manager. This person is a team player and plays a strong supportive role in design and project management.

Key Responsibilities that are not limited to-
- Support conceptual design, assist in ideation and design development.
- Take direction from the Principal and Senior designers
- Create floor plans and elevations using Autocad and / or Sketch up as directed by senior designers.
- Create mood boards and assist in preparing client presentation materials
- Source finish samples and assist in developing finish palettes
- Create accurate IA schedules for tile / stone, paint, millwork, casework, appliances, plumbing, hardware, and accessories.
- Assist the project manager and create proposals for merchandise.
- Assist in managing project progress through all phases—design, fabrication, and construction.
- Field visits, take site measurements, and support construction administration.
- Participate in team meetings, organize client and project notes for internal documentation.
- Weekly office-related and administrative tasks

Job Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in a high-end residential design firm.Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Studio Designer,Proficiency in Asana, and Office 365 / Google Suite a plusAbility to work closely and collaboratively with the Principal and senior designers.Ability to travel to project sites across the Bay Area and San Francisco; a reliable personal vehicle is required.Working knowledge of furniture, lighting, hardware, materials, finishes, and window / floor coverings, including selection and specification.Experience working with vendors, showrooms, workrooms, subcontractors, and partner teams on job sites.Clear communication skills and ability to problem solve professionallyOrganizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages.Comfort participating in meetings, managing notes, and maintaining internal project documentation.Willing to assist with general office and administrative tasks as needed.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Studio Designer etc.Knowledge of design principles and trendsAbility to produce detailed drawings and design conceptsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAttention to detail and time management skillsBachelor's degree in Interior Design or related fieldExperience in a design studio or firm is a plus
