Our firm is flexible with the structure of this position :
The attorney provides more of a support role (primarily office work with occasional mediations and non-evidentiary court appearances). The attorney is responsible for managing all firm deadlines and assisting with very regular client calls. The caseload would range from 60 to 80 cases shared by the owner / primary attorney and the supportive attorney; ORThe attorney can manage his / her own caseload of approximately 40 cases with the assistance of a paralegal.Please be prepared to advise of the preferred structure during your interview.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with clients to provide case updates, answer questions, and guide them through the legal process.Prepare discovery requests that are specific to case details, facts, and pleadings.Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests and disclosures.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence.Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings, depositions, mediation, and trial.Attend hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings as second-chair or lead, as appropriate.Assist in hearing and trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks.Maintain accurate case files and meet all deadlines for filings and discovery.This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple cases with professionalism and compassion. Customer service skills are paramount.Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this position will range from $120,000 to $145,000. Salary is commensurate with the number of billable hours the attorney bills each month. The attorney will be paid a base rate plus monthly bonuses for billable hours. The billable hours / salary table will be available during the interview.This position includes ten days of paid vacation / personal time per year which begins to accrue per pay period after a 90-day probationary period. The firm also recognizes federal holidays.The firm will pay up to $600 per year for professional development expenses related to CLEs and annual bar dues.The firm will be adding health insurance as a firm benefit in the early part of 2026.QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar.Minimum offour (4) yearsof family law experience, with experience representing clients as lead counsel in hearings and trials.Excellent communication, research, and writing skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.Compassionate client service approach with ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism.Please submit resume and cover letter through Indeed.
