Cobb Bethel AME Church is seeking a creative and dedicated Graphic Artist Volunteer to support our Black Historic Cemetery Preservation project. This role will focus on creating visually engaging materials such as brochures, pamphlets, and other promotional content that helps raise awareness of our efforts, recruit new volunteers, and share the importance of preserving our community’s heritage.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce digital and print materials, including brochures, pamphlets, flyers, and visual assets.
- Collaborate with the preservation team to ensure messaging and designs align with project goals.
- Develop creative layouts and visuals that clearly communicate our mission and work.
- Provide design support for fundraising and community outreach initiatives.
- Prepare files optimized for both print and online distribution.
Qualifications
Experience in graphic design (students, professionals, or skilled hobbyists are welcome).Proficiency with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools).Strong eye for visual detail, layout, and branding.Ability to work independently while meeting agreed timelines.Interest in historic preservation, community service, or cultural heritage a plus.Time Commitment
Flexible schedule. Approximately 3-5 hours per week, depending on project needs. Work can be done remotely, though occasional collaboration calls may be scheduled.
