Schedule Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Job Description The Float Pool Registered Nurse in Medical / Surgical is responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population in various units, including Medical / Surgical, PCU, and rehab. This role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to handle multiple patient needs effectively. Nurses will float to different units as necessary and will manage patients with various diagnoses while using the EPIC charting system. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to patients in Med / Surg and telemetry settings. Administer medications and manage infusions, including blood products. Monitor patient conditions and interpret telemetry readings. Perform necessary procedures including IV therapy, phlebotomy, and respiratory management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Float between units as assigned, including some rehabilitation opportunities. Participate in holiday rotations and weekend shifts as needed. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with a focus on Med / Surg / Telemetry. Active PA or Compact RN license required. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications preferred. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with Epic charting system is required.
