What you'll be doing

Provide physical therapy services as prescribed by consumer's physician for adults and adolescents with head injuries, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, general orthopedic rehabilitation needs, and / or neurological behavioral issues as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Physical Therapy includes evaluations, recommendations for purchasing equipment in preparation for patient discharge, creating treatment plans, completing progress reports, and daily documentation. Coordinate external equipment as needed.

Develop home exercise programs (restorative program) for long term patients, and train restorative aides.

Perform physical therapy interventions with the following equipment : SoloStep, Rifton Walker, Lite Gait, Aquatic Therapy, Pressure Map System for Seating.

Familiarity with all departmental equipment, and ability to implement equipment according to consumer goals / needs.

Anticipated Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm (flexible schedule)

Job Requirements

Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree from an accredited university or institution offering physical therapy curriculum.

Licensure by examination to practice as a physical therapist.

Member of the American Physical Therapy Association preferred.

Two years' work experience with Adult Neurologically Disabled / TBI population preferred.
