Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringer Campaign
This position is responsible for :
Assisting with the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Bell Ringing Campaign. Transporting ringers and kettles to their designated location.
Key responsibilities include :
- Meeting with paid Kettle Bell ringers at The Salvation Army each morning to transport bell ringers and kettles to their designated location.
- Keeping inventory of kettles and switching out kettles as needed during the day.
- Picking up kettles in the evenings.
- Keeping track of all paid bell ringer shifts and hours by indicating start and stop times on kettle slips.
- Transporting ringers and kettles to their designated location.
- Performing spot checks on bell ringer locations at times other than beginning and end of shifts.
- Conducting job duties in accordance with the ministry of The Salvation Army and its Christian principles.
- Attending employee meetings as required.
- Performing other duties as required.
Physical requirements and working conditions include :
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.). Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work is performed outside where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather and discomforts associated with noise, dust, and dirt. Dressing appropriately is important for comfort.
