    My client is a CT-based precision manufacturing company serving industries such as aerospace, defense, and industrial equipment. They specialize in close-tolerance components and maintain strict quality standards across all phases of production.

    The company operates a modern facility with advanced machining and inspection capabilities, including CMMs and digital metrology tools.     Job Description

    The Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will be responsible for :

    • Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS for precision-machined components.
    • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to define accurate inspection strategies.
    • Perform and validate dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
    • Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies to validate inspection processes.
    • Create and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, and PPAP.
    • Apply GD&T principles and inspection methodologies effectively across various components and assemblies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, machining, and quality personnel.
    • Utilize appropriate fixturing and tooling for consistent, repeatable measurement setups.
    • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management system requirements.
    • Review and verify inspection results for accuracy and completeness.
    • Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis for quality-related issues.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.

      The Successful Applicant

      A successful Quality Engineer should have :

    • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in CMM programming using PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS.
    • Strong proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T standards.
    • Proven background in quality inspection and assurance within a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies.
    • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
    • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab or SPC for measurement data interpretation.
    • Ability to develop and maintain quality documentation including control plans, FAI, and PPAP.
    • Skilled in selecting and setting up appropriate fixturing and tooling for inspection processes.
    • Strong blueprint reading and inspection methodology skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
    • Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen.
