Full Time Speech Language Pathologist / SLP

Synergy Care is adding an additional speech language pathologist to our staff at our long-term care facility in Baytown, TX. Whether you are an experienced therapist or a CF, we would love to have you join our team.

Job Description :

• Conducting assessments : Evaluating patients to determine eligibility for therapy and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing therapy sessions : Planning and executing therapy sessions that address communication and swallowing disorders.
• Documenting patient progress : Keeping detailed records of patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborating with other professionals : Working with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
• Providing education and support : Educating patients and their families about communication strategies and techniques to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Staying current with research : Engaging in continuous professional development and staying informed about advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.
• These roles are essential for the development of clinical competence and the transition from academic training to independent clinical practice.
